Sri Saraswathi Coaching Centre - India project
Since 2019, the Opera San Giuseppe Association has supported the Sri Sai Saraswathi Coaching Centre in Puttaparthi, a village in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The school serves approximately 25 children, aged between 2 and 6, from extremely poor families.
The context
Puttaparthi is a village of over 11,000 residents known for its spiritual history. In many of its rural areas, access to basic education and regular nutrition remains a challenge. The Saraswathi Centre is committed to filling this gap.
Activities and support
Thanks to our intervention, the following are guaranteed every term:
- Salaries for teachers
- Provision of fresh food for breakfast, lunch and snacks
- Essential teaching materials
The monthly cost to maintain the project is only 100 euros, but it has a huge impact on the children involved.

- Providing quality preschool education
- Improving the nutritional status of children
- Offering assistance and stability to families in difficulty
- Promoting direct intervention by volunteers on site
